March 7, 2007 on 4:21 pm | No Comments | posted by voleyn

In case you haven’t heard yet, TvMcGill and Gill Films (McGill’s newly formed filmmakers collective) are producing the Fokus Film Festival, to be held at the end of March. It’s kind of a big deal and if done right, it’ll definitely bump the status of the arts scene at McGill up a few notches. Get into it!

We are looking for submissions in the following categories: fiction, non-fiction, experimental, shorts (under 2 mins) and animation. You must register by March 20th, 2007 at www.tvmcgill.com though the DVDs won’t be due until a couple of days later.

Faceless Invasion: What The Hell Is It?

March 6, 2007 on 6:47 pm | No Comments | posted by neekolas

Faceless Invasion is like a scavenger hunt…on crack. Everyone signs up online in teams of 5-8 people before March 19th. On the day of the event (March 31st) everyone gets a Mexican Wrestling Mask and a list of items. The list is really long and covers just about anything you can imagine, from organizing giant pillow fights to riding down hills, naked, in shopping carts. The list will probably force each team to go to parts of Montreal they have never seen before and do things they never even imagined themselves doing. All the tasks are videotaped and there is a meeting place at the end of the day to hand in physical items and a DVD with all of the footage. Check out www.facelessinvasion.com for some more details and the official sign-up.
